This is my tribute to Henri Fantin-Latour, a wonderful 19th Century French Painter. Painting flowers from life has many challenges and, as you can guess, the title came once I had finished.

The beautiful, open flowers drooped and wilted by the final stages of this painting and I decided to accept that and paint them that way. There was still a beauty in the way the looked.
